The City's 7th annual Climate Fest is a celebration of the many ways our community takes action to address climate change. From an expansion of the City’s compost facility to the GROW Solar group buy program, we continue to make progress towards our climate action goals.
IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering and Iowa Flood Center researcher Jesus Gomez-Velez will be present on Tuesday, September 22 to represent the department's active engagement in climate-related research. Gomez-Velez has recently been awarded funding from NASA to use satellite data to develop a nitrate forecasting system for select communities in Iowa.
