Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology
The Iowa Flood Center is a key partner in the Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology designed to improve the country's ability to predict and manage water-related hazards.
IFC supports CIROH by contributing its years of expertise in hydroinformatics (water information systems), flood forecasting, flood mapping, flood monitoring, and communications and outreach. IFC innovations like the Iowa Flood Information System will serve to advance the wide-scale implementation of new tools developed by CIROH.
"The IFC's unique tools and outreach activities will go a long way toward helping to ensure CIROH's success."
