Felipe Quintero Duque is an assistant research scientist at the Iowa Flood Center. He works to enhance the Iowa Flood Information System by designing tools that enable river stage forecasts for any location in Iowa.

Marcela Rojas Oliveros is a design engineer at the Iowa Flood Center. She works to develop rating curves for bridge sensors at many locations on rivers in Iowa as part of a project with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

His research focuses broadly on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, big data science, data mining, scientific visualization, citizen science, camera-based sensors, augmented and virtual reality, GPGPU, and web-based development.
