Biography
I am a civil engineer and water resources specialist from the National University of Colombia. Currently I am a Water Resources MS student at the University of Iowa. My academic focus is in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, and climatology. My current research field is flood inundation mapping (FIM), which is addressed by the HAND methodology. Under the guidance of Professor Humberto Vergara, my goal is to improve HAND approach by incorporating physical meaning while maintaining its computational advantages. I enjoy hanging out with my closest friends, working out, listening to instrumental music, and rollerblading. I do my best to resist ice cream.
